About Us

Our Mission

Everyday goods for a brighter tomorrow.

GOOD/DAY began with a simple idea:

The things we use every day can do more than serve us. They can help serve the place we live.

We make useful, thoughtfully designed goods people genuinely want to buy—and build community benefit into the way the business works.

That means GOOD/DAY is not asking you to choose between a good product and a good purpose.

We believe you should be able to have both.

Everyday essentials should feel accessible.

For many households, the challenge is not whether soap, laundry detergent or cleaning products exist.

It is whether there is enough money available today to buy the quantity being sold.

A larger bottle may offer better value over time, but that does not help if the upfront price is out of reach.

GOOD/DAY is designed around a different question:

What if people could simply buy what they need, in the amount they can afford?

Where appropriate, our essentials will be available through refill and flexible purchasing options, including smaller £1, £2 and £5 quantities.

Bring your own container.
Reuse one of ours.
Take what you need.
Come back when you need more.

Simple.

And every purchase can do more.

GOOD/DAY is being built so that commercial success creates community value.

A portion of the value generated through the business supports our Essentials Pool, which helps improve access to household and personal-care essentials through trusted community partners.

We do not assume everyone needs the same thing.

One person may need laundry liquid.
Another may need soap, shampoo or cleaning products.
A family may need several different essentials at once.

Our model is designed to preserve flexibility and dignity wherever possible.

Because helping someone should begin with understanding what they actually need.

We want people to buy GOOD/DAY because they want GOOD/DAY.

The mission matters deeply to us.

But the mission should not have to rescue a product nobody wants.

GOOD/DAY is designed to stand on its own: considered products, understated design, practical usefulness and a brand people are proud to bring into their homes or wear.

That matters because sustainable impact requires a sustainable business.

If people return because they love the product, the quality and the experience, the social value can continue to grow with them.

Starting here.

GOOD/DAY begins in Sunderland.

This is where we are building the business, developing community partnerships and testing what a more locally rooted consumer company might look like.

Where it makes commercial sense, we want more of the value created by GOOD/DAY to remain close to home—through local employment, suppliers, makers, partners and organisations.

We are starting locally.

The ambition is bigger.

To show that a successful consumer brand can make community benefit part of ordinary business rather than an occasional act of charity.
