Terms of Service

Last updated: 9 September 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of the GOOD/DAY website and your purchase of products from us. Please read them carefully before placing an order. They are intended to explain our respective rights and responsibilities clearly and fairly.

1. About GOOD/DAY

This website is operated by [full legal name of the trading company], trading as GOOD/DAY (“GOOD/DAY”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

Registered in [England and Wales / other jurisdiction] under company number [company number].

Registered office: [registered office address]
Business correspondence address: [business address, if different]
Email: [customer service email]
VAT number: [VAT number, if registered]

GOOD/DAY is a household-essentials and lifestyle brand developing a community-focused model in Sunderland. Our products may include household and personal-care essentials, refill products, reusable vessels, clothing, accessories, and other goods expressly offered for sale on the website.

Our community-support arrangements, including any Essentials Pool or partner-led distribution programme, are described separately where applicable. Purchasing a product does not, by itself, create a charitable donation, tax deduction, membership, or entitlement to receive community assistance.

2. Scope and acceptance

By using this website, you agree to comply with these Terms of Service. By placing an order, you agree to the terms applicable to that purchase.

If you are purchasing as a consumer, nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted. In particular, your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and applicable consumer-cancellation legislation remain unaffected.

Our Privacy Policy, Refunds & Returns Policy, and any delivery or product-specific terms made available before purchase provide additional information. If there is an inconsistency, your statutory rights take precedence. Any specific terms expressly agreed for a particular order will take precedence over these general Terms to the extent of that inconsistency.

3. Eligibility and account security

You must be at least 18 years old to place an order, or have the permission and involvement of a parent or legal guardian who is responsible for the purchase.

You agree to provide accurate information when placing an order and to keep your contact and delivery details up to date. If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for notifying us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.

We may suspend or restrict an account where reasonably necessary to investigate suspected fraud, protect the security of the website, or prevent unlawful misuse. We will act proportionately and will not use this provision to remove your statutory rights or avoid obligations under an existing contract.

4. Product information and availability

We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, prices, quantities, ingredients, materials, and other information are accurate. Product images, including digital renderings and pre-production mockups, may be illustrative. Where an image is a concept or a proposed design, we will identify it as such.

Minor variations in colour, finish, packaging, or appearance may occur, particularly with textiles, reusable vessels, and products made in separate production batches. Any variation must remain consistent with the product description and your statutory rights.

Products are subject to availability. We may discontinue products, adjust our range, or limit quantities where reasonably necessary. We will not substitute a materially different product without your agreement.

Information about ingredients, allergens, product safety, suitability, and instructions for use will be provided where applicable. Please read the relevant product label and instructions before use.

5. Orders and contract formation

When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase the selected goods. An automated acknowledgement confirms that we have received your order; it does not necessarily mean that we have accepted it.

A contract is formed when we expressly accept your order, normally by sending an order-confirmation or dispatch-confirmation email, as specified in the checkout process. We will make the point of contract formation clear before you place your order.

We may decline an order before acceptance for a legitimate reason, including unavailability, an obvious pricing error, suspected fraud, or an inability to deliver to the requested address. If we have taken payment for an order that we do not accept, we will refund it promptly.

Once a contract has been formed, we will not cancel it merely because we have changed our mind. Any cancellation by us will be subject to applicable law and the terms of the contract.

6. Prices and payment

All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP) unless otherwise stated. Prices include VAT where applicable. Delivery charges and any other mandatory charges will be clearly disclosed before you place your order.

We may change prices at any time, but a change will not affect an order already accepted, except where you expressly agree to a lawful variation.

Payment must be made using one of the methods offered at checkout. Payment processing may be provided by third-party payment providers. We do not require you to accept additional optional charges through pre-selected options.

If a price is clearly and obviously incorrect, we may contact you before accepting the order to confirm whether you wish to proceed at the correct price. We will not charge you a higher amount without your agreement.

7. Delivery and fulfilment

Available delivery methods, charges, estimated delivery times, and delivery restrictions will be displayed at checkout or in our Delivery Policy.

Unless we agree otherwise, goods will be delivered without undue delay and within 30 days after the contract is made. If delivery is delayed, we will communicate with you and provide the remedies required by law.

Risk of loss or damage generally passes to you when you, or a person you identify to receive the goods, takes physical possession of them. Where you independently arrange a carrier not offered by us, different statutory rules may apply.

We may use third-party manufacturers, print-on-demand providers, fulfilment partners, or couriers. Their involvement does not remove our responsibilities to you as the seller.

If you provide an incorrect or incomplete delivery address, please contact us as soon as possible. We will make reasonable efforts to assist, but additional costs caused by an address error may be payable where they have been clearly disclosed and are lawful.

8. Pre-orders and made-to-order products

Some GOOD/DAY or GOOD+ products may be offered for pre-order or made to order. Where this applies, we will identify the product accordingly and provide the estimated dispatch or delivery period before purchase.

Estimated dates are not guarantees unless expressly agreed as such. If a material delay occurs, we will explain the revised timing and your available options. Your statutory rights concerning late delivery and cancellation remain unaffected.

A product being manufactured or printed after purchase does not automatically make it personalised or exempt from cancellation rights. Any applicable cancellation exception will be identified clearly before you place the order.

9. Refills, reusable vessels, and product use

GOOD/DAY may offer prefilled products, refill quantities, and reusable or refillable containers. The available formats, quantities, prices, and any container-related conditions will be stated on the relevant product page or at checkout.

Where we offer a container for purchase, ownership passes in accordance with the contract. Any future borrowing, deposit, or returnable-container arrangement will be governed by separate terms disclosed before participation, including any applicable charges or return conditions.

You must use products in accordance with their labels and instructions. Do not mix household or personal-care products unless the manufacturer expressly states that it is safe to do so. Keep products away from children where instructed and use suitable containers for storage.

We are not responsible for damage caused by misuse, improper storage, or use contrary to clear safety instructions, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Returns, cancellations, and refunds

Your rights to cancel an eligible online purchase, return goods, and obtain remedies for faulty, damaged, or misdescribed products are set out in our Refunds & Returns Policy.

For most eligible online goods, you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days after receiving the goods, subject to applicable exceptions. Certain sealed goods may be exempt where they are not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons and have been unsealed after delivery. Any applicable exception will be identified before purchase.

Nothing in these Terms or our Refunds & Returns Policy limits your statutory rights in relation to goods that are faulty, not as described, or otherwise fail to conform to the contract.

11. Subscriptions and recurring purchases

If GOOD/DAY introduces subscriptions, recurring deliveries, or paid delivery memberships, the applicable price, billing frequency, minimum commitment (if any), renewal arrangements, and cancellation process will be disclosed clearly before you subscribe.

We will not enrol you in a paid recurring arrangement without your express agreement. Any recurring payment arrangement will be governed by the specific terms presented at the time of purchase and applicable consumer law.

This section does not itself create a subscription, membership, or obligation to make recurring payments. Any subscription terms will be reviewed and updated as the applicable legal requirements develop.

12. Community impact and the Essentials Pool

GOOD/DAY intends to develop a model in which commercial activity supports access to essential household and hygiene goods through appropriate local arrangements. Any statements about the Essentials Pool, Essential Credit, community partners, or the number of people supported will reflect the programme actually operating at the relevant time.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, purchases are ordinary commercial transactions and are not charitable donations. We do not guarantee that a particular purchase will fund a particular item, individual, or household, or that a specified impact will occur, unless that commitment is expressly made in the applicable product or campaign terms.

We will not represent proposed partnerships, impact figures, or future programmes as established facts. Where we publish impact information, we will explain the basis on which it has been calculated.

13. Intellectual property

The GOOD/DAY name, branding, original designs, website content, photographs, graphics, text, and other materials are owned by us or used with permission, except where otherwise stated.

You may access and use the website for your personal, non-commercial purposes. You must not reproduce, distribute, sell, or commercially exploit our content without our prior written permission, except where permitted by law.

Nothing in these Terms grants you ownership of our intellectual property. All third-party trademarks and other rights remain the property of their respective owners.

14. Acceptable use of the website

You agree not to use the website unlawfully, interfere with its security or operation, introduce malicious code, attempt unauthorised access, or use automated systems in a manner that materially disrupts the service.

You must not submit false, misleading, defamatory, abusive, or unlawful content through any review, contact, or other interactive feature.

We may remove content or restrict access where reasonably necessary to address unlawful activity, security risks, or a material breach of these Terms. We will act proportionately and will not use this provision to avoid our obligations to customers.

15. Third-party services and links

Our website may be hosted by Shopify and may use third-party services for payment processing, fulfilment, delivery, analytics, or other functions. We may also provide links to external websites.

We are not responsible for the independent content or practices of third-party websites that we do not control. However, where a third party performs part of our obligations under your purchase contract, we remain responsible to you to the extent required by law.

Your use of an independent third-party service may be subject to that provider’s own terms and privacy information.

16. Privacy and personal information

We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law. The Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, the lawful bases on which we process it, and your rights.

We will not treat acceptance of these Terms as consent to marketing where separate consent is required. You may manage marketing preferences through the options provided in our communications or by contacting us.

17. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of your statutory consumer rights, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

We are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it is obvious that it will happen or if, when the contract was made, both you and we knew that it might happen.

We do not exclude liability merely because a product is supplied through a third-party manufacturer or fulfilment provider.

Where you purchase goods as a consumer, we are not responsible for business losses that are not reasonably foreseeable in connection with that consumer purchase. This does not affect any rights you have under applicable law.

18. Events outside our reasonable control

We will not be responsible for delay or failure caused by an event outside our reasonable control, provided that we take reasonable steps to minimise its effects and inform you where appropriate.

If such an event causes a substantial delay or prevents us from fulfilling the contract, we will provide the cancellation or refund rights required by law. This provision does not remove your statutory rights concerning delivery.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in law, our business operations, or the services we offer. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.

Changes will not retrospectively alter the terms of an order already accepted unless you expressly agree to the change or the change is required by law.

If we introduce a subscription or another continuing service, any material changes affecting existing customers will be communicated in accordance with the applicable contract and law.

20. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence.

If you are a consumer residing in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may bring proceedings in the courts of your home jurisdiction where the law permits. Nothing in this clause deprives you of mandatory rights or remedies available under applicable consumer law.

If you have a complaint, please contact us first at [customer service email] so that we can try to resolve it. We will respond within a reasonable time and explain any available next steps. This does not prevent you from seeking advice from a consumer-protection body or pursuing a legal remedy.

21. General provisions

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

Our failure to enforce a provision immediately does not mean that we have waived our right to enforce it later.

You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our agreement, except where the law permits. We may transfer our rights or obligations to another business only where this does not reduce your rights or protections under the contract.

These Terms, together with the information and any specific terms provided to you before purchase, form the agreement between you and GOOD/DAY concerning your order.
